Discover our different plots of land

Our vineyard covers 11 hectares of vines, all located in the Avirey-Lingey commune. The vines are an average of 23 years old and are divided between Pinot Noir (80%) and Chardonnay (20%)

First plot of land

Welcome to Avirey-Lingey, a charming village where the vine is king! With its 200 inhabitants, it is a peaceful little corner located in the Aube department, in the Champagne region, next to the Côte d'Or, along the Sarce river.
Here, the vine has been a major part of the landscape for centuries. In the 17th century, it is said that "the inhabitants of Lingey were as poor as those of Avirey, byt they got out thanks to their work, especially when the wine sold well"

La Bressoire

With a surface of 3 hecatres planted exclusively with Pinot Noir, this east-facing parcel takes its name from the Old French word Bressoire, which means cold. Originally, these plots were less sought-after because of their orientation, but recent climatic conditions have turned them into very high-quality terrois.

Second group of plots

According to the local legend, the region's wines have been appreciated by many Kings and Queens of France over the centuries. It is said that King Henry IV had a particular preference for Avirey wines. Later, crafsmen from the nearby Les Riceys region, who helped build the Château de Versailles, told King Louis XIV about the wine from our canton, which he appreciated very much.

Val Macherey and Les Couins

On the Couins hillside, 4 plots of Pinot Noir complete the Serge Mathieu estate.

Last plots

The vast majority of the field is located on the Voie de Bagneux, an ancient Gallo-Roman road linking the two villages of Bagneux la Fosse and Avirey-Lingey.
The vines here follow the rounded shape of the hill, forming a snail-shell plot.

Bagneux-La-Fosse

A group of around fifteen plots on the Bagneux finage, at the top of the hillside, less subject to frost, are devoted to Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
